The CMJ University has launched its academic programmes from the academic session 2010-2011 with a view to helping the young boys and girls from Meghalaya in particular and from other States and Union Territories of India in general with the main objective of innovative and applied research to be conducted for benefiting all sectors related to rural and urban employment, science and technology, health, medical and paramedical sciences, educational planning and administration, juridical studies, social sciences and other employment centric fields for the optimum development of our country.
The ten-year Master Plan (2010-2020) envisaged by the CMJ University has the appropriate strategies for the protection of our mother earth by creating environment friendly and sustainable jobs through national as well as international job creation policies and vocationalisation of careers by providing necessary inputs for optimizing the budgets of the Central and the State Governments allocated on education and human resource development.
The CMJ University wishes to be pioneer in the field of integrated education as this university has decided to redesign and modify the existing curriculum right from primary and secondary levels to the tertiary and higher education levels (nursery to doctorate and post doctorate levels) for ensuring national and international development and by providing ready-made solutions for tackling issues related to poverty, unemployment, insurgency, pollution, population explosion, illegal trafficking, terrorism and other societal issues facing our country.
The unique programmes based on the UGC Guidelines launched by the CMJ University include M.Tech by research for external candidates, M.Phil under regular mode and Ph.D. by research based on the entrance examination for selection to these research oriented degree programmes. We are sure that this will cater to the growing needs of the demands for teaching professionals in the university level institutions as well as in the centers of excellence.
